Dolce & Gabbana comes up with interesting style pieces each year and this Camera Case Leather Shoulder Bag surely caught our attention from Day 1. You might think it looks quite like a pretty little girl’s camera toy but look again as it turns out to be a lovely shoulder bag that comes to life with its whimsical and fanciful character.

Its structured box-like style, finished off with its luxe golden hardware and fastens with D&G’s signature padlock charm made this bag all the more enchanting to our eyes. If you don’t fancy wearing it as a shoulder bag, it’s detachable shoulder straps will be an added bonus for you can carry it with your bare hands.

This ultimate charmer measures 5’ x 7.5’ x 2’ (H x W x D). It retails for €1950 euro via MyTheresa.

Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2016 Collection – Milan Fashion Week

Categories:Fashion

As Barbara Conelli says, “When life gives you twists and turns, chique yourself up in Italy!” Italy always attracts, lures and magnetizes its visitors with its rich culture, mouth-watering food and impeccable style sense. You heart needs love and passion? Think Italy! Your stomach demands appetizing and delicious pasta and pizza? Definitely Italy! Your brain needs to relax and take a break somewhere on the beach? Head to Italy! Your body desires to feel ultra-comfort and chic? Look no further than the fashionable Italy! Italian fashion designers and creative directors of the Dolce & Gabbana fashion house, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have banded together the mundane simpatia for nectarous Italy and their immense love for the motherland has once again engendered a long-awaited collection that will be lodged in our memories for a long time. The Dolce & Gabbana spring/summer 2016 collection just unveiled on the Milan Fashion Week runway is titled ‪#‎ItaliaIsLove‬, an appellation that instantly arouses our dormant feelings and emotions provoking us to rush to Italy and get saturated with love.

Dolce & Gabbana Spring/Summer 2016 Collection

Even before the beginning of the Dolce & Gabbana spring 2016 runway show the extravagant designers had provided us with some very intriguing tip-offs. The entrance was designed like a realistic Italian fruit stall, and there were several billboards installed with the word “Selfie” appearing and vanishing on it, while the attendees were enjoying pleasant Italian-English retro music. There was anticipation that we would soon spy flirting and fatal Malenas and Filumenas living in the social media century. And we were right. For several minutes the catwalk atmosphere made us forget that it was Milan Fashion Week and converted into a crowded and lively Italian street. Some enchanting Italian girls were strolling along the street; others were happily rushing home after a lucky shopping from Dolce & Gabbana; some attractive women were going to buy vegetables and fruits with their straw baskets, while others were rushing home with baskets full of products. You could see playful ladies taking selfies in the street, which were instantly being shown on the gigantic screens on the runway, while also appearing on the brand’s social accounts. Amidst the #DGSelfie mood, the shopping and the giggles between the model friends, the focus was placed on the entire show and the models embodying a part of Italy, a motion of Italy and a fragment of Italy.

The show kicked off with a sun-bleached yellow A-line dress emblazoned with the show’s slogan “Italia Is Love”, as well as with the illustration of the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore and red poppies, so widely spread in Italy. “Italia is Love” or “I love Italy” were afterwards appearing on a T-shirt or on a frock with different designs and shades. Prominent was the designers’ reference to Italy’s historical constructions. A polka dot flaring dress was printed with Pantheon in Rome, a sheer tulle dress was carrying the Colosseum on it and a yellow-white striped godet dress served as the Pisa-demonstrator. Even Michelangelo’s David was there on an orange midi skirt. The collection was opulent with flower bouquets and fields. There on a dress you could catch a sunflower field in Tuscany, a chamomile and red poppy downpour on a range of midi dresses, skirts and pajama-like pantsuits. A three-quarter-sleeve dress was advertising Sorrento landscapes; another piece was mentioning Portofino as the best fishing venue in Italy. There were many umbrellas and balls to refer to the Italian relaxing beaches and a lot of chairs and tables to hint at Italian traditional families. Catholic Italy was also portrayed on a red velvet dress. And amidst all these bright colors and prints Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana were trying to stay true to their iconic black dresses with sheer lace and tulle.

A different story was the staggering cluster of accessories. The upcoming spring is sure to welcome a range of women just fallen in love with fruity earrings and headbands, velvet slippers and richly decorated sunglasses, crocheted raffia bags or baskets. Of course, we also saw one or two bejeweled headphones that first appeared on the runway at the house’s fall 2015 show, this time coming embellished with tons of fruits and flowers.

The finale of the Dolce & Gabbana spring 2016 show was striking as always, and as anticipated we saw an army of beautiful models dressed in identical dresses in bright colors and with exquisite Italy-inspired printing. This was literally Dolce & Gabbana’s Italian catalogue as a gift to millions of tourists all over the world. The designer duo did manage to show us emotion and to shape trends instead of following any!

Dolce And Gabbana Ceramic Doll Bag Collection

Dolce-Gabbana-IMMACOLATA-CERAMIC-DOLL-Bag-2

There is something about the Barbie Doll and the Box with handle. When Dolce & Gabbana introduced these accessories on the runway, it was very inspiring.

So inspiring…

That Vogue decided to design a Doll for every famous designer brand. It was beautiful – the designer dolls were wearing the same clothes and carrying the exact same bags like the one on the runway. All the classic and iconic stuff were included, Vogue names it ‘the Paris Panoplies Designer Doll Collection’.

Pity that they were not available on the market, otherwise we would have rushed and bought the stock empty. And I think you would too.

But anyways, the Dolce & Gabbana Doll Collection has just been released. Each doll is carrying the most famous designer bag like the Sicily. They are packed inside an artful box with patterns that you will certainly love. The box comes with a handle, so you can carry it like a tote bag.

There are three variations available; the Concetta, Addolorata and the Immacolata Doll. The clothing is handmade, the bag is really made from leather. The box is measured 44 x 29 x 14 (H x W x D) cm, the Doll is 29 cm in height. Priced at 1450 euro via Luisa Via Roma.

Dolce & Gabbana Debuts Three One-of-a-Kind Exotic Patchwork Bags

Categories:Other Brands

Dolce & Gabbana Exotic Sicily Bags

The whole trick of the luxury industry is to make consumers feel like they’re buying something rare when, in actuality, whatever we’re buying is almost certainly made in enormous quantities. As the industry expands, putting your hands on something unique gets harder and harder, which is why I took note of these Dolce & Gabbana Sicily Small Patchwork Exotic Bags atLUISAVIAROMA – they’re all one-of-a-kind.

Most brands produce one-of-a-kind pieces here and there to display in stores or offer to their best clients, but it’s not often that a brand as big as Dolce & Gabbana offers something totally unique at a third-party retailer, especially an exotic piece. Each bag is made from different-colored panels of crocodile and snakeskin, except for the bottom, which is leather. Also, each bag retails for right under $3,000, and although its not a bargain, it’s not nearly as much as most exotic bags from major brands usually cost, let alone a one-off piece.

For me, the winner of the trio is the bag with the pale blue crocodile flap; the contrast against the yellow snakeskin underneath is beautiful. Which is your favorite?
